Woodward 3265
A very early James Woodward (earlier than the earliest extant record book) 16-bore back action hammer gun with rebounding locks, distinctive full pistol hand, jones under-lever and screw grip mechanism. The gun, engraved J. Woodward, London' on the locks and with 64 St James's St address on rib, remains in historic cosmetic order, with lots of patina and original finish. Re-proof for modern nitro ammunition with 2 1/2" chambers. Excellent mechanical order. It is doubtful that an older James Woodward gun still exists. The oldest gun in Woodward's records is No.3268.
