This brief history of Purdey is a short, well constructed and informative introduction to the company and narrates its history from the founder's introduction to the London gun trade as an apprentice to Joseph Manton, right through to the present day.
Clearly narrated by Dr Nicholas Harlow, Purdey's current gun-room manager and regular contributor to the VGJ, this is a nice refresher for old-hands and an essential introduction for those new to the subject.
