Following The British Shooting Show at the Birmingham NEC, the next event in the diary is the Stalking Show at Staffordshire County Showground on April 12th & 13th.
The Stalking Show has grown over the years to become quite well established. It caters to anyone involved in deer stalking and a wide range of great British businesses are to be found exhibiting there.
Many stalkers are attracted by teh opportunity to buy ammunition. Since rifle ammunition has to be purchased face-to-face and some calibres are hard to find, the dealers at the show always bring plenty of stock and do good business.
I have used it in the past to check-out some of the optics available and bought my favourite pair of Swarovski mini binoculars there a couple of years ago.
The butchery and culiary demonstrations by the likes of Jose Souto, whose mastery of the process of breaking down a deer into freezer-ready portions is mesmerising, are always popular and the show is also a great place to meet-up with friends from around the country.
Tickets are a very reasonable £15 in advance, with free parking.
I'll be there. I hope to see some of you.
